I've noticed that after .33 upgrade mysql is continuosly eating some 70% CPU time and there is heavy disk activity.

I rebooted saturday night, and I noticed something strange because video playback is slow since then, and because even when no playback occours the disk activity led is continuosly blinking.

Using top I can see that mysqld is on a average of 65 % CPU time (with peeks of 80%), and also UpdateMedia is always present (max 20%, average 6-7 %).

I guess this is not a normal behavior.

Has someone faced this issue before, or has anyone a good explanation for this?

TIA
Marco

I don't know about MySQL, but that UpdateMedia could be the root of all evil in the .33 release. Search for any corrupt DVD files if you ripped any and since you mention UpdateMedia. This is fixed in the upcoming .34 release (looks like it's going to be released today).
