Hush fanless Core/Hybrid

Hello,

  I found on the internet an interesting computer manufacturer called Hush. I wonder if the E2 Model would be a good core/hybrid.



  It is expensive but looks great as it is completly fanless (what I am desperately looking for) and would be also great for a dual boot machine.

  Have any of you ever tried to get one of these functionning and/or have any idea of what could be a limitation?

You might want to consider the Hush box a Media Director and utilize something else as the core. Hard disk make noise, so for the core noise is not that much of an issue. For the media director on the other hand, it has to be silent.

I have good success with a bare bone from http://www.ichbinleise.de. They use hfx cases and build a computer for your liking into it. Apart from some issues with the onboard NIC of the ASUS P5K everything is working very nice.

Thank you for the link. It looks interesting, except the fact that they use most ATI cards or Intel chipsets instead of better-supported nvidia.

I'll give it a closer look as soon as I understand german

Those barebones are just their regular stuff. I asked them to build one for LinuxMCE. They put in one ever you want, as long as it fits (size and thermal wise). I had some problems with the Asus P5k, but in the end succeeded.

This is an old thread but we do have some products that fit this requirement;

We do have two hybrid under-tv cores. There is the NC100 which is completely fanless (uses custom passive heat-pipe technology and heat/sound absorption kits around optical, HD drives etc) and the NC120 that uses more traditional fanned cooling (but with very low ambient mechanical noise).
