Hi all,

The title says it all. I clicked on *just* the wrong spot at *just* the wrong time, intending to do something else, when the orbiter popped up the window asking about my new Bluetooth phone (HTC Touch Cruise). I told LMCE to forever ignore it  :'(.
I'd like to get another chance, and need it to get off the "known names map" somehow:

10      02/20/08 22:36:19.481           Found name HTC_P3650 for mac 00:17:xx:xx:04:xx in the known names map <0xb735ab90>
10      02/20/08 22:36:19.481           Device 00:17:xx:xx:04:xx, HTC_P3650 responded. <0xb735ab90>
05      02/20/08 22:36:19.481           Ignoring MAC: 00:17:xx:xx:04:xx <0xb735ab90>
05      02/20/08 22:36:29.077           Inquiry complete

Does anyone know how to do this?

And oh, which option should I choose for the newest windows mobile edition?

Thanks,

Mark

try looking in the webadmin.

  • On the top navigation, there should be a button called 'Advanced'
  • Under 'Advanced' other options appear down the list is 'Unknown Devices'
  • Find the device which looks like the one in question and click the 'Unlock' button next to it

That should get it to bring up the prompt again. As far as which version, im not sure. I have an older smartphone so im not sure if the software will run on the newer platform.

hope this helps.

what he said, but you may find it under Advanced/Configuration/Unknown Devices. :)
The only intuitive interface is the nipple.  After that it's all learned.
My other computer is your windows box.
I'm out of my mind.  Back in 5 minutes.
Q:  What's Red and smells like blue paint?

A:  Red Paint.

Thanks to both of you  ;D.

It's still not quite working though... I think it does find the phone, but does not do anything useful with it (like asking me if I want to use it!). See the log:

Is this mac ID for the Phone or the Bluetooth Dongle?
it almost looks like it's not bonded..
try this:
on your phone, see if you can PAIR the phone to the bluetooth Dongle.

That is basically the handshake, without the pairing, all you'll get it 'I see the device.' (and you may not even get that)

HTH,
Dan

Hi all.

I have gotten this far with my HTC Touch...

Download and install the CAB file ("Windows Smartphone").

Pluto is installed on my HTC.

But when i run Pluto it says i don't have enough memory, whereas the actually memory is around 50% available.

This could be a major n00b question - but does smartphone = mobile 6 ???

Cheers
John
