just wanted to post this to let people know if any one else runs into the problem. installed phpMyAdmin and was having problems getting to http://ip_address/phpmyadmin. i wasn't able to find the answer on the forum. so went looking on the web and found there is symlink that points to /var/www/phpmyadmin -> /usr/share/phpmyadmin. this symlink wasn't made when i installed phpmyadmin so i had to manualy add it to fix the problem.
