I have one of the "famous" Sony DVD-changers, and I wanted to use the mass-ripping function to ripp my movies, but since the HD in the LMCE-computer is rather small I was wondering if it's possible to ripp them straight to the file server.

LinuxMCE will pick whatever storage space is the largest, that you specify that LinuxMCE can use for media. This includes:

* The Core
* Any disks inside media directors that you've allowed LinuxMCE to use
* File Servers or NAS devices that you've let it use.

What version are you running and can you rip cd's from your changer

I can rip dvd's but not cd's from changer regular cd palyers in core or md can rip fine.

Actually I'm having problems ripping my DVDs, have not tried CDs yet. I've been using th 0704 version, but I'm installing 0710 now so I'll check back later today for a new report.

edit:
Nope, DVD-ripping does not seem to work for me Sad

Keep getting a can't read message even tough I can play the DVDs
