DVD boot problem
« on: January 28, 2008, 05:29:57 pm »
Hi all,

I can't seem to get my clean PC to find the operating system on the QuickInstall 0710 Beta3 i386 DVD I've created.

1. Downloaded from http://proyectos.pixelamigo.com

2. Combined .iso files on Windows XP using "Type" command

3. Burned DVD (not DL) using Sonic Record Now to both Bootable and non-bootable DVDs

4. Non-bootable could not find boot record on clean PC "No NRTL? found"

5. Bootable found boot record, but could not find operating system.

Your suggestions please.

Thanks,

Dave.

Make sure your burning software knows this is a iso image file.
When you are done you should see folders. not just one file.
No need to tell burning software to make bootable.

Also check the MD5Sum of the ISO file to make sure it isn't a corrupt download.
