Hi,

bttv module for my video surveillance is not loading anymore.

I get this in dmesg :

Code:
bttv: Unknown symbol tveeprom_read
bttv: Unknown symbol tveeprom_hauppauge_analog

I had similar problem under 0.30, where ivtv was broken and I compiled own ivtv - and then had to remove tveeprom.ko from ivtv tree that broke bttv loading. Current problems are maybe related to that, but maybe not.

I have quite some older/newer tveeprom modules on my system:

Code:
dcerouter_260:~$ locate tveeprom.ko
/home/diskless/192.168.0.200/lib/modules/2.6.13.2-vanilla-pluto-1-686/kernel/drivers/media/video/tveeprom.ko
/home/diskless/192.168.0.201/lib/modules/2.6.13.2-vanilla-pluto-1-686/kernel/drivers/media/video/tveeprom.ko
/home/diskless/192.168.0.202/lib/modules/2.6.13.2-vanilla-pluto-1-686/kernel/drivers/media/video/tveeprom.ko
/home/diskless/192.168.0.203/lib/modules/2.6.13.2-vanilla-pluto-1-686/kernel/drivers/media/video/tveeprom.ko
/home/diskless/192.168.0.204/lib/modules/2.6.13.2-vanilla-pluto-1-686/kernel/drivers/media/video/tveeprom.ko
/lib/modules/2.6.13.2/ivtv/tveeprom.ko.bak
/lib/modules/2.6.13.2-vanilla-pluto-1-686/extra/tveeprom.ko.ivtv
/lib/modules/2.6.13.2-vanilla-pluto-1-686/kernel/drivers/media/video/ivtv/tveeprom.ko.ivtv
/lib/modules/2.6.13.2-vanilla-pluto-1-686/kernel/drivers/media/video/tveeprom.ko.saved
/root/Plutohome/ivtv/ivtv-0.3.8/driver/tveeprom.ko
/root/Plutohome/ivtv/ivtv-0.3.8/driver/.tveeprom.ko.cmd

so I'm not sure whether this problem is only mine or not....

Any similar experience, help? Can someone with working bttv under 0.31 can take a look which tveeprom module is loaded ?

Thanks in advance,

regards,

Rob.
