How to get windows shares to work!!!!

hi people!!!

when i install kde i can use the remote program and see my windows shares however after i install kde mce i can no longer see my shares

i have got round this by using the run command and can now see the shares however when i try to play them i get an error 'unsupported plugin'it says something about a network error. its driving me mad as i have a linux box that can not see allmy media which is no good to any one..

any ideas? Huh

How did you install LMCE? Can you access your shares via SMB via the KDE desktop. Can you ping the machine that contains the shares?
