I tried the FTP first and it got about 10%, then has been stopped for a couple hours.

When it stopped, I tried the torrent.  It's been going for about 3 hours, I just checked and it now has just 3 weeks 0 days left.  When I DL'd beta 2 off the torrent, it finished in just a few hours.  I hope this thing speeds up soon.

The bit torrent for me is a little slow...10kbits/s....37 hours left.
I assume the ftp download will be a lot quicker!
Somehow I doubt that if hundreds of people will have only 10 connections amongst them to DL multi-gigabyte sized ISOs.  Not to mention that those FTP connections were actually intended for developers to get daily snapshots from.  So please use the torrent, it's quicker for everybody and doesn't hinder people trying to do development work.

Very true Zaerc... the build server is under heavy load at the moment which is delaying work tonight :-(

GUYS!!!

We need more seeds for the AMD64 DVD download!!

People are dropping out - only 1 seed as far as the tracker is concerned, but I can't see any at all on my BT client....

Please re-join the swarm and start seeding again, if you dropped out....

Hi guys

Well I left my torrent running overnight getting both the i386 and amd64 dvd both telling me they were getting 20k and gonna take 3 days. I was very happily surprised to wake up this morning to find that bth had finished some time in the night. I will leave my system running reseeding these for a while.

So the moral here is leave the torrent and it will sped up. Remember a watched kettle will never boil!!!!

I'm going to get the 0710b3 source code and build from there. Well, whenever I can get the last few questions about how to build it from a SVN co answered.

I started the torrent download last night about 11:00 p.m. and had the AMD64 dvd when I woke up this morning.  I have it uploading, but actually there are not many people drawing from it.

Hiya!

Isn't here anyone perhaps from Germany who has connections to a University? I can't use Torrents because of heavy firewalling and would like to get a simple ftp-access. A clean open-source-multimedia-logistics-project should get some interest of universities Wink

Greetings,
Daniel

What kind of firewalling?? You should be able to circumvent it, most ISPs only block a handful of common bt ports - but you should never use those ports (the orginal standard ports) anyway. Use Azureus and change the port to something random. Also, be aware of not creating too many simultaneous tcp connection attempts, you can easily limit that in Azureus as well. I've heard of basic connectivity issues with bt, that's commonplace! But firewalling from an ISP shouldn't be a major blockage...

ISP = Employer.
All UDPs are disabled. Azureus finds the seeders (28+), but gets no download connection. I tried the http-support, different ports, but no connection.
FTP available from someone?

On the Mirror links, what is the difference between the DVD and the DVD DL links? What additional stuff do you get by downloading the DVD Dual Layer (DL) link? There is a additional 1GB or so in the Dual Layer link. Is this only the LMCE video or some other stuff? Thanks.
