The bit torrent for me is a little slow...10kbits/s....37 hours left.
I assume the ftp download will be a lot quicker!

It's a p2p network and a fresh torrent, give it some time to warm up ;-) And don't stop seeding when downloaded Smiley

I was getting upto 250kB/s on both the AMD64 CDs and AMD64 DVD. Its dropped somewhat at the moment, but I'm still getting an average of 150kB/s across both torrents. Just leave it, it will speed up!

Somehow I doubt that if hundreds of people will have only 10 connections amongst them to DL multi-gigabyte sized ISOs.  Not to mention that those FTP connections were actually intended for developers to get daily snapshots from.  So please use the torrent, it's quicker for everybody and doesn't hinder people trying to do development work.

according to...the changelogs.......

danielk synchronised the charonmedia trunk with the pluto-lmce vendor branch, some time ago.

the difference lies in the build scripts, which, in trunk are intended to be built on systems outside of pluto's build farm.

However, the release scripts in trunk still has some bits of the package building process which need to be ported over to use the temporary mysql build server that's running on port 4306 during a full build...
