switch around the processor in the core and the MD.. you don't need the heavy lifting as much in the core as you will in the MD if it is going to be doing HD especially MKV and h.264 decoding. Also 4gb of ram is probably overkill for the core if I'm reading that right

If you are going to need hd tuners, I recommend the hdhomerun. Uses less power, has no firmware to worry about, uses no pci slots and can be located anywhere due to the ethernet connectivity. Dual tuner is nice as well.
