Mantis Priorities
« on: January 08, 2008, 02:16:15 am »
I'm curiosity... i was looking around on mantis to see if a bug I found had been reported and I saw that mantis is also tracking feature (requests ).
Does anyone know the priority as far as what is being worked on first. I'm assuming since the dev team is trying to get 0710 out the door, bugs are taking priority. I saw some features being tracked like adding support for the IR blasters that come with MCE remotes and also providing a file hierarchy sort of way of viewing media. Does anyone know if 0710 is going incorporate these features or is it mostly bug fixes from 0704.

At the moment the focus is not on adding new features or capabilities but on fixing bugs and getting 0710 out the door. However everyone is welcome to create feature request tickets in Mantis as these will get reviewed and looked at after release. You will see some from me there ;-) The best way for this too work is to float an idea for an enhancement here in the forum, gather some input/feedback from others... polish the idea up a little and then when you think the idea makes sense to enough people here then creat a feature request ticket in Mantis that reflects what was discussed here. That way we dont a flood of feature requests... but we do get well considered and though through requests.

Generally my feature requests are based on user/customer feedback that we have received and increasingly also now from discussions that have happened here.
