I have a computer as follows. (the basic model found on www.mindblowignidea.com/Ultumix under products and Desktops)

It has a TV2000 XP Expert WinFast TV tuner card and seems to work great with normal versions of Linux. However with LinuxMCE it won't recognize the card and I don't get any sound either out of my onboard card. If I just install Kubuntu I do get sound. I also have the Linux MCE cds 1 and 2 as well as the DVD. I can't get the cds to do anything after installing Kubuntu and getting the sound working. So I think I'm going to upgrade Kubuntu to the latest version and try to get that working. I need to get this done ASAP. Any help appreciated.

If I installed Granular or PClinuxOS would your source code install on it?

in short, no, the code currently only runs atop kubuntu.

You can try setting up the tuner card inside MythTV setup directly (under Advanced->Computing)....but I highly suggest swapping out that tuner card for a Hauppauge WinTV-PVR150.

I will try that. One of the biggest problems is getting kubuntu to let me run mythTV. It gets all cranky when I click on it.
