migrating from knoppmyth
« on: December 18, 2007, 05:43:32 am »
hey guys, i want to migrate from knoppmyth.  basically, it wouldn't be a big deal if i lost the data in mysql.  but, i definitely want to keep all of the videos i have.  that is, videos that i downloaded and imported.  not ones that i recorded from tv.

so, can i just leave the /myth partition on the drive and install linuxmce?  or, will that screw up the install???

it's a 250gb drive with the following partitions:
5gb for OS
230gb for /myth
125mb for swap

any help would be appreciated!

if you have stuff you want to save get a new drive for LMCE and either move the content to the video directory or just use it as a second drive and rename the directory to match the Pluto structure so it works right. Trying to convert the drive has an 80% plus chance of wiping it. And the install will go from1/2 hour to 30 hours and much frustration.
