Okay, Been lurking for a while now and I need to make the leap!  I have the budget, time and expertise (I hope) to build an LMCE box.  The only problem is I cannot figure if I will be able to get HD or anything other than OTA signals on Verizon FIOS.    I have a Motorola 6416 PVR which has a USB and Firewire port.

Please advise.

Thanks!

Welcome!

I am a FIOS TV user also. I have not had a chance to set up LMCE with my FIOS box yet. I am waiting for some more hardware and the 710 release.
I was told by my FIOS Tech that most of the SD channels are passed unencrypted without a need for a VZ box. I have a line running to my Hauppauge card.  I looked at my DVR and regular HD box and both are QIP6200-2's. Both have ethernet - USB- Firewire. I will let you know how I make out .

Regards,
Blair

I was hoping to bump this in hopes of an update on how things went.  I too am a Verizon Fios customer and before investing money into a new server, I wanted to find out what peoples success may be with verizon.
