Anyone have any idea how this enclosure will work for LMCE?
Zalman HD160XT
This particular question has popped up on a Norwegian AV forum, I have seen some references to the version with LCD display Zalman HD160 (not the touchscreen).
This information is all we have found and searches of both the Wiki and forums came up empty.

HH (Hi Hagen)

I have a Zalman 160XT (Rev. 1 I think) and it is lots of work getting this to run with linux. The problem is not the LCD, this works out of the box. Touchscreen is a little bit of manual work, but can be done. But you have 5x Chassis Fan in there that need to be controlled by 2 USB temperature devices. So you need a driver for the usb-temp-devices and a script that manages the fan level. Leaving the fans at level 100 is not option as ... well, I think it is clear. I installed LinunxMCE last sunday so i am getting to this point, but my next case would not be Zalman 160XT for a linux setup.

Hope this helps...

Would the USB fan drivers be an issue for the 'plain' HD160 as well I wonder?

A Linux setup for the HD160XT rev 3 (and 2) can be found at zalman.ostergaard.net
- although the fan control is not implemented here

@Hagen,
I don`t know if they used the same hardware in the 160, but I would believe so. I have connected the fans to my  beQuiet powersupply with a build in fancontrol. It works perfect, the fans are inaudibly.
