After several countless hours. It finally started working! ( http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=3272.0 )
I guess the best thing to do with linuxmce is to walk away and come back in a few hours, then everything will work!

One thing that for sure wont fix itself is when I click the new scenario button that was created with the set top box installation I cant record, rewind or FF. The best I can seem to find is its not going thru MythTV but only directly to Xine or something? I have looked all over the Admin Page for a way to enable recording and such on this input. Can someone give me a hint?

It sounds like you are directly connecting to your STB.  LinuxMCE allows you the option of connecting directly to the STB or having MythTV control the STB.  Usually the way to get to MythTV is the TV option from the Media menu, this is an automatically created scenario.   This is dependent on the installation of a proper capture device.  What are your options for Media Menu? What Capture device do you have installed?  Have you ran Myth-Setup from Advanced/Computing menu to ensure that you have a capture card properly installed?

Just a few things to help figure out what might be wrong.

Thanks

Rob, Thanks for your response!

To answer your questions...I have both a Happauge PVR 500 and a Happauge PVR 150 installed.

My media menu choices are (in regards to this problem) Live TV and Live TV STB. If I select Live TV I can view my STB programming, record, rewind, pause, FF and  view the program guide with LinuxMCE BUT it will not change the channels on my STB.

If I select Live TV STB then I can change the channels on the STB but not record, pause, rewind or FF. If I attempt to rewind etc. It gives me button Icons to click (essentially sending an IR signal to tell the STB to rewind etc.

I have tried using all three of the inputs on the cards.

I have ran MythTV setup more than a few times. Can you tell the best way to get the STB to change channels AND have Mythtv PVR capabilities. I am willing to start at square 1.
