Hi!

Yesterday I tried to install LinuxMCE with the DVD-Installer and had problems with the GRUB (Error 18). This was because my BIOS doesn't support the size of my HD (500 GB) and the BIOS-Updates on the manufacturer's site (Gigabyte) are *.exe-files only, so I don't know how to update my BIOS.

Then I read that I have to set up a boot-partition (about 100 MB, ext2) at the beginning of my HD and then it should work. So I have to go the "2 CD way" to have the option of partitioning.
As I'm new to Linux, could someone briefly explain the steps to set up those partitions? Would be great!

Thanks!
