Hi,

I'm trying to add templates for generic SIP and IAX phone device (softphone or Hardphone)...

I've made template for SIP, but template for IAX is quite similar, except 1 parameter. Can I duplicate SIP template, and make changes to become IAX template ?

Also I added new template subgroup, but cannot delete it anymore ?

Thanks in advance,

regards,

Rob

As far as I remember the only way to delete a device template or device template category is to go down into pluto_main database.
I'm not quite sure which tables should be cleaned up, but probably there are more than one.

If SIP and IAX2 templates are VERY similar, why not to add into device data the type of the device (SIP or IAX2), so you will practically will have 1 template say Generic_VoIP_Phone which can be SIP/IAX2/ZAP or whatever else.
The problem is the logic behind to keep in sync pluto_main and AMP's database.

This will be solved as soon as I'll be back to asterisk tasks.
