add web interface so other pc's or mac's can use or view media on linuxmce

You can allready network boot them, then you get the full  'media center experience' as another product likes to call it.
Or you can use them as a remote for the LMCE.

And you can allready access the media on the core trough.. say Media Portal for windows. So what more do you really need?

Hagen: I'm toying with the idea of creating a set of proxy players that can be attached as children to a new form of the generic web device... that would essentially launch flash players to view content on the system.. it's on my list after i do the first pass of a mame plugin.

Just to add some extra input:

How about the stuff that is used by the web-control for dbox2... it's called yweb...
They utilize the vlc-player-plugin to show the video streamed over the network.

(It's also used by the mytv-dbox2-video-source-plugin, i think)
