There is none.  Blu-ray/HD-DvD are not officially supported in any open-source program because of DRM restrictions.  There may eventually be a work-around (kind of like the semi-legal dvdcss), but afaik, a workable one does not exist yet, though there are tools availalable at www.doom9.org.

PeteK could one use a program like AnyDVD HD to remove the DRM stuff and then copy the image over to the appropriate location?  If so would you happen to know what would be the hardware requirements for the media director to push out 1080p; I've been looking at uATX boards based on ATI 690G.  Most of those boards have HDMI out; but I'm not sure if they can do 1080p or just 1080i/720p.

Thanks

People are running 720p/1080i on Nvidia 6x00 and up cards.  At this time, the LinuxMCE community seems to be heavily vested in Nvidia cards, because until now, ATI has been severely lagging in their Linux drivers. A recent change of heart at AMD/ATI may change things in the near future, but at this point, go with an Nvidia card.  There is a (fairly small, but growing) hardware section in the wiki that a lot of members have been contributing to.

How about if we want 1080P?

What Graphics, Processor are needed?

Mobo would be nice too if there are any suggestions from someone with a working rig?

Thanks in advance

Let us know your system configs if you are.

Thx

i think it's depend on codec. the mpg2 maybe can be played with xvmc aka purevideo. the h/x.264 is harder question. on windows u can play with coreavc or cyberlink codec at normal pc with purevideo. or if u have a stronger x2 or core duo u can use some version of fddshow and/or avisynth what can use the two core both for decoding. on linux i have no idea.

I'm afraid it will be a wrong choice.
I've tried to get LinuxMCE working with an ATI 1600for weeks. It never worked how it should. When I switched to NVidia it worked right away.
Anyway, good luck with it.

The ATI SB600 has problems with the current SATA driver of the kernel LMCE uses, with a bit of luck this issue will be resolved in the upcoming 0710 release.  For now only IDE works reliably.

The Radeon X1250 graphics chip will be able to do UI2 without alpha-blending (medium), but MythTV doesn't work (not even with the proprietary ATI drivers).  With a bit of luck this will be fixed in future ATI drivers, or perhaps VDR will become a viable alternative to MythTV.
