Can't start the AV Wizard!
« on: September 09, 2007, 02:19:34 am »
I've installed Linux MCE through the CD method.
It boots and Prompts for a username and password. I get about 5 seconds into typing it and i get some beeps and the screen goes blank.
I've tried pushing 1-9 to change video type and res. But all it does is show the screen for 5 seconds, beeps, and goes blank again.
If i tap ESC a couple of times it boots into the MCE LM and from there its fine, but its in 640x480.

How can i start the AV Wizard if i can't get it to run in the first place?
Also how can i reset the password to nothing so it never asks?

Thanks!

I have the same problems with the screen going blank, but there is an easy work-around. After hitting ESC (one time is enough) LCME comes up and can be configured (in 640x480). When LMCE is configured just go into webadmin and change the resolution of the MD to your liking. It may also work to use the keys 6 to 0 on the keyboard after the beeps to change the resolution.
