Maybe this would best be done as an "advanced" AVWizard mode, but.

It would be really nice to be able to directly specify Modeline's on the AV Wizard.

For example, I read on avsforum that my SONY Rear Projection HDTV does perfect 1:1 pixelmapping with the following modeline:

"1224x688" 79.393 1224 1328 1456 1664 688 733 738 796 -hsync +vsync

I guess I'll have to figure out how to edit the xorg.conf manually to set this, but I'd prefer to just type it directly into AVWizard, and let it write the setting to XORG.conf

Also, it would be great if the AVWizard had a "drivers" page - which would let you see which drivers are currently being used.

And, since there are pretty good instructions in the wiki (espescially for NVIDIA cards) on how to download and configure new drivers, maybe have a "graphics card picker" which would allow you to automatically go out and download the most recent drivers for your chosen graphics card.

Thanks,

Sean

I agree, this would be a wonderful feature that would solve a lot of problems. Editing the xorg.conf isn't altogether difficult, but LinuxMCE has a tendency to re-write the xorg.conf file based on what it knows from it's database. Since that modeline isn't in the database your change gets removed. There are workarounds like giving the file read access only to everyone including root, but that's not the ideal solution.

Just Curious, which sony hdtv do you have? sounds like mine, but i'd like to get it to do 1:1 in windows, that is until linuxmce gets mature enough. Even then, i still will prob have to run emulated games on windows tho

A configurable mode line for the AVwizard is coming the 0710 release... ;-)
