Nice dual gig nic card in 1 slot.  Will this work in LMCE?

All anyone can say is probably. Is this for a core or an MD? I would presume a core since the MD only needs one nic. In the core you will need to disable the internal nic to get use from the dual nic. Linux is able to support multiple nics (I have a 4 port one here) but LMCE only understands one or two for now.
