Hello.  Anyone know what to do to fix my problem?

Motherboard is a Asus P5WD2, Raptor 74GB SATA HD, Plexor SATA DVD-rw (also tried with an IDE DVD drive with no additional luck), Pentium D 3.2Ghz, 2GB DDR2533 Ram, Asus Nvidia Video card w/HDMI.

I do the install DVD install and it hangs after the line:

Setting up swapspae version 1, size ...
No label, uuid=3604
/dev/sda1: uuid=a57a..." SEC_TYPE="ext2" Type="ext3"
/dev/sda5: uuid="3604..." type="swap"

Any help would be great!!!

Thanks in advance,

Tossil

I had that problem when I used my sata ports on my motherboard. the drive was a 500gig one so that may be the problem. or since the sata ports were one of the first to come out so maby that is also the problem.

I did how ever use my 160gig ide and it seems to be working now but will find out tomorrow.

I am also having this problem.
I'm running off of a 250gig IDE drive... but it still hangs at the "/dev/sda5: uuid="3604..." type="swap"" part of the DVD's install.
Any ideas?

EDIT
This problem has been solved, and I posted instructions on how to do it towards the end of this thread.
http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=2123.15

Hope this helps someone. Now onto getting a CM11a to work :)

I'm having the same problem with the video 'reference' system.
ASUS m2npv-vm motherboard BIOS version 0901
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3600+ CPU
80 GB Hard Drive

I have tried 3 different brands of IDE hard drives, and I can't get past the SWAP partitioning step. I have left the system on overnight.

HOWEVER,
I have been able to get the install past the swap partition step when I used my 3Ware IDE RAID card. LinuxMCE had no problem with /dev/sda1

Seems like the problem may lay around on-board IDE drives.

Other things I've tried,
Verified jumper settings
Switched IDE cables
Switched power cables
Commented the "FormatPartition" as suggested here

Oddly enough, http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=2612.0 this post states that SATA drives don't work on install. He used IDE and fixed the same problem, but we seem to be seeing this with standard IDE as well.

The only advice listed here http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=2347.0 is to install using two CDs (not very helpful)

And Finally,
the post http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=2123 seems to have the same problem, but the actual instructions are hard to understand. I assure you the words "formatdrive" do not appear in the file /usr/bin/lite-installer.sh

Is there any definitive advice on what's going on here?
