Build Add on to lmce ?

Hello
Im wondering if anyone is interested in building support in lmce for a
home management system created by Moeller called Xcomfort
(http://www.moeller.net/en/buildings/xcomfort/index.jsp)
This is a very advanced home management system manufactured
for the european market...
We are a company based in Norway assisting in instalastion of
home management and home theater systems.
We are looking on using lmce and thus interested in having these systems
cooperating an also paying for anyone able to create this integration.

Hi,

I've created similar thing for other home automation system (http://www.cybrotech.co.uk/), but have done only proof of concept code in Perl. It actually works ok, so maybe we won't do any further C++ coding on that...
It detects and creates devices automatically, user just needs to put them into floorplans...

I could try to do similar thing for your system, but would need more information about protocol to your main gateway device so I can do integration. From this point on, you can decide whether to go further and code it into C++ which I'm not good at..

We would need more specs, have you got any technical specs you can post?

I think, XComfort is a Z-Wave implementation by Moeller. At least, it has all of the characteristics of Z-Wave.

If it is they kept very quiet about it! I think they are using some type of proprietary RF tech.

after posting I was looking again to find some kind of information backing up my claim. Could not find any :-( I might have mistaken merten and moeller.

However, using a proprietary RF technology instead of a proven available one is kind of stupid in my book.

Sadly, this is the way almost all major companies are working... I once had a visit from representatives of one of major producers of kitchen appliances... They looked at Pluto and they were impressed, BUT they said ("somewhere between the lines") that system is too "easy" (in different meanings, for instance "anyone can provide support") to make money out of that... When comes to such levels, plain logic is pretty "economically" twisted :-(  ....

But guess what will happen - in a year or two, they will design their own "look alike" system with proprietary technologies. This world really sucks... But at the end, WE CONSUMERS, buy such things and let them make profit out of that...
