Can LinuxMCE run on other flavors? Preferrably PCLinuxOS???

Can LinuxMCE run on other flavors of linux such as PCLinuxOS? I would much rather have the UI of PCLinuxOS mainly the Desktop effects. If you can't is there any way to setup Beryl on Ubuntu? If so, how?
