LMCE 1.0 UI hangs after setup wizard

I'm close to giving up on this whole project. 1.1RC1 failed to install. Followed the guide at http://wiki.linuxmce.com/index.php/What_To_Expect to the letter, except for the devices I don't have. Everything seems to install ok. The UI worked the first time it came up before running the setup wizard within the UI. After it reloaded I just get some choppy moving backround images and a stuck UI. I've reinstalled the entire system from the ground up twice and have had the same issue. I'm using the Asus M2NPV-VM motherboard which is the same one mentioned in that wiki.  What gives?

It could be a pain and I don't even know if it is the problem....what about the BIOS version? You might want to check and see if you need to flash it to a newer version. I had a problem with my ASUS board until I did that. Now mine is working great. There was a thread on ASUS boards and BIOS versions and a wiki too I think.
