mythtv problem - cannot connect to backend...

Everytime i try to start the mythtv portion of LinuxMCE i get the dreaded "cannot connect to mythbackend" error message.

I've tried changing my hostname to:

dcerouter
localhost
internal ip
external ip

I can log into mysql using the: "mysql -u mythtv -p" and then use the pregenerated password the installation provided to me. Which, by the way, i checked to make sure it was correct.

I've run out of ideas on how to fix this.

I'm using the Haup - 150 which works fine (in MS Media center)
