I was just wondering if there was any way to adjust the mouse speed that LinuxMCE switches to when it is launched. It kills me running 1080p and having to basically do a 180º turn with my body (not really, but it does hurt my wrist if I don't back-track without the mouse enabled) to get the cursor all the way across the screen with my Gyration MCE Univseral Remote.

Also, is there any way to hide the mouse cursor on the home screen/screen saver? I always have to move it to the bottom right corner to get it out of view, and that's quite annoying too...

Thanks Cheesy

the speed of the mouse can be adjusted from kde System Settings > Keyboard and mouse > Mouse > Advanced > Pointer Aceleration. regarding the second question, in any case i've ever seen, the mouse disappears when the screen saver is running.

To make the mouse cursor disappear just click on the right mouse button.  You will have a full screensaver, no menus, no mouse cursor.

Well, adjusting the mouse speed works great...until I restart LinuxMCE.

Can we get an option to set the mouse speed? And I'd LOVE to be able to keep the repeating key setting on while in LinuxMCE...

That slow mouse speed is annoying as hell.

Same problem here. The mouse speed is just fine, until I start the media station. After that it just gets too slow. This must be the right speed for low resolution screens. Should be configurable, I guess.

It seems that lmce must run a script when you start the media station that resets these setting to some defaults. I guess this is a hangover from the Pluto releases where there was know kde desktop giving easy access to these settings.

Cleary now they should either be left alone by lmce and then the user can set them easily using the standard kde desktop features or some ability to set these defaults needs to be provided in the lmce manager app.
