Does anyone know a nice small bluetooth chip thats compatible with kubuntu and linux, i am trying to create a wireless remote and have been looking for a good chip but can't seem to find one, this could narrow my results.

It depends on what you want to do with it...
if all you want is a remote, as in a couple of buttons, check out microchip.com search for BLUETOOTH

Broadcom has the BCM2033 chip, it's the whole shebang bluetooth, however, you still need a processor beside it...
I'll keep looking,
can you tell me a bit more about the useage?  What do you want the bluetooth to do?
