Does Asteriks work for you, and no could you please specifiy what doesn't work.
It is concerning this ticket, which has been a huge pain for a long time, and after hard work of
los93sol let's put it to the test.
Preferably people who used the latest snapshot reply.http://svn.linuxmce.org/trac.cgi/ticket/315

I need to test again. Before the last install (1 week ago) speak to the house it was not working, even having ztdummy and zaptel loaded. Will let you know.

In the snapshot of LinuxMCE-8.10-23357-i386.iso 22-Oct-2010 16:16  3.8G it worked.
Now trying 1 nov.
