Just installed Ubuntu Feisty Fawn, as well as Beryl, and like the title says, the installer won't run. It will ask me for my password, but it won't do anything afterwards.

Um, no.
I'm using version 1.0.
Doesn't matter anyways, I installed Ubuntu 6.10 and now LinuxMCE is installed, but I have a new problem.

um, no. you were both confused/misunderstood.

Kubuntu 7.04 + Linuxmce 1.1B2
Ubuntu 6.10 + Linuxmce 1.0

If you have a problem using 6.10 and 1.0, maybe you should try 1.1B2 with Kubuntu 7.04. A lot of people had trouble with 1.0 and Ubuntu 6.10 that were solved with 1.1B2.

Man do i feel like an idiot.

I think i have spent at least 16 - 20 hours on installing / buying new hardware becuse i miss read it was for Kubuntu now and not Ubuntu Feisty Fawn arhhhhh....

It looks like the popularity of Linux MCE is now bringing in the dregs of the IT community.

No sweat man. Welcome to the club.  Anyone willing to spend 16-20 hours playing with an install trying to get it to work is the kind of hardcore geek we need.
