i put all my mp3's in /home/public/data/audio in subfolders of the bands name, in MCE i can see the folders but not the MP3's any ideas?

Go to Web Admin, in Files&Media->Media Files Sync page select audio from the left frame(home-public-data-audio) and press the Resynchronize button. Then go to each subdirectory where you've stored music. If one file isn't in the LMCE database it wil have "Type:" drop down and "Add to database" button next to it. Select it's type (generally for audio files select LinuxMCE Audio FIle_, press the "Add to database" button and after you've added all your files press again the  Resynchronize button.

@Cj_Man,

There is no need to add the files to the database, just resynchronize the media as you have described.  Depending upon the number of files it could take a couple of minutes before the become visible.

worked great:)

is there a way to chnage the songs from the console? if i shh in from another pc?
