I have two displays, a PC monitor set as primary and a TV as primary. I want to give Ubuntu/Linux MCE a go (have tried but got stuck at driver install points) Before I attempt again I need to know if Linux MCE support dual view. In that sense the primary keeps the desktop, and secondary opens up the media centre application, full screen. And everytime you open up the media centre app, it remembers which monitor it was opened up last (and fullscreens) Media Portal cannot do this. Media Centre can. I'm stuck with XP MCE even though it has it's flaws.

well, if Xorg supports dual view, then LinuxMCE should support it also. from what i read, there could be some problems with dual view in linux, even if you are using a nvidia card. this is a good how-to for dual view in linux: http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Dual_Monitors.
