Problems setting up Graphics with AVwizard
« on: June 15, 2017, 02:43:30 pm »
Ok, I am trying to setup my MD. Its an asrock ion 330.
When booting up it displays a long list of error messages
Quote
systemd-udevd[2607:failed to execute '/bin/systemctl' '/bin/systemctl start --no-block nvidia-persistenced.service': No such file or directory
systemd-udevd[2680]:failed to execute '/bin/systemctl' '/bin/systemctl stop--no-block nvidia-persistenced.service': No such file or directory
in avwizard I can select HDMI, 1080p, 60Hz..and get a garbled output. Selecting 720p I can complete the wizard, but only with ui1, static images, opengl is not working, sound is also not working

To me that looks as if the 375 driver was active and installed while you tried to reinstall it.

But I have been wrong before.

Looks like it to me. At least I would give that a try.

Why are you installing 340 and not using the newest driver?

Hmm...the newst driver being nvidia-375? From what I see on my md, I believe there is something seriously wrong with that...or how do you interpret the messages I get..see the top of my post...the entire screen fills up with those at boot.

I am turning in circles...installing nvidia-340 doesn't help me, as long avwizard installs nvidia-375 again...how exactly can I keep this from happening...at least temporarily? I had put exit 0 to the nvidia install script...but then avwizard won't run.
I would like to run nvidian340 to see if it is working on the  ion.

A dirty hack just for trying is to change all entries in nvidia-install.sh to nvidia-340.
I´ve made a paste for you: https://pastebin.com/U58gWSSw

Lucky me...I was able to test it already. I was able to set up the me properly. This is great. Thank you very much. I think the nvidia-375 is either buggy or not compatible with the ion platform.

Hi,

I build a new package with the correct name mysql-server >= 5.6.4  and its works
Could you, please, fix your package ?

Thanks,
Yoann.

It's not our package.  We do not package mysql-server, it comes from Ubuntu.
