Snapshot 1404 - 20150428031230640
pigdog:
Hi,
Loaded this snap and, unfortunately, it reboots back to the grub menu.
md5sums checked.
Tried on 2 different hardware systems (AMD and Intel).
Tried VGA, DVI and HDMI as video outputs.
Cheers.
phenigma:
Can you be a bit more specific?! A *LOT* more specific would be nice. ;)
The grub menu will appear every time the system boots, that's quite normal. This snapshot has been tested and installs and operates for multiple testers on both virtual and real hardware.

Hi phenigma,
Sorry, but the loop (back to the GRUB menu) will continue forever.
I've tried the *Ubuntu selection, the advanced "kernel selection" but it's deja vu "Groundhog Day" all over again (to further push a bad quote).
Looper [silly movie](to be even more "pun"ishing.
I don't understand why other (install/systems) work and for many, many 14.04 downloads mine goes "loopy".
Cheers

:( I liked Looper. Good movie. But not in this context. pigdog I would highly suggest you try an internet install (the non-dvd install method). You can follow the 1204 wiki, but start with a 1404 kubuntu install. Everything else is the same. I would expect you to have greater success this way, if the initial 1404 kubuntu install goes well.
Let us know. Thanks!

Hi phenigma,
O.K. downloaded http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/releases/14.04/release/kubuntu-14.04.2-desktop-i386.iso
and will try.
Cheers.
