Need hybrid for PVR function? And howto switch to hybrid after core install

During installation i chose a core install, because this machine will be my black-box server. But i also want to use it as the main PVR, with multi capure cards installed. After reading all the infos, i think i had to select hybrid.
Is this true? How can i get hybrid to work. Reinstall and selecting hybrid did not do the job.

The only way to select between the core or hybrid is to reinstall LinuxMCE.
