Screen on/off on the Joggler
« on: January 20, 2015, 01:38:22 pm »
At the moment, when i do a "reload router" the Jogglers screen gets turned off.
I have to touch the screen before it shows the orbiter and after that, when left alone, the screensaver.

Is there a way to let the Joggler always turn off the screen instead of showing the screensaver (clock)?

I tried various settings in the orbiters DT, but without luck.
I also tried the brightness daemon that tschak wrote, but its still to bright for my night-stand  :).

thanks in advance,
br,
Raymond

I'm not sure if there is an easy way to do this.  LMCE normally expects a connected display to get an 'off' command, we don't have the joggler setup as a full device, but the DPMS monitor would likely be the device to use.  I'm sure it will be more complex than that.  A full joggler DT with child orbiter, etc, could be created.  Something to consider and play with.  There may be another way as well.  My jogglers do not turn off on a router reload.  I believe that is because I changed the dpms settings in the launch script (iirc).
