14.04 July 24 29195 Notes
« on: July 28, 2014, 05:46:13 pm »
Hi,

On initial install no network configuration messages but did get some systemd-udevd messages until hal loaded.

A/V Wizard - no problems.

Setup Wizard ran with no Sarah A/V.

ifconfig was good, using Nvidia drivers, no Flickr photos.

Confirm Dependencies log showed the usual suspects.

Did update/upgrade with just

report chown: cannot access //var/www/mythweb/data 0 and dpkg:error processing package pluto-mthtv-plugin ( -- confure):

Edited lanman client change in smb.conf and restarted service

Powered up NAS.  NAS discovered.  Volumes detected.  UpdateMedia discovering content.

I built a MD profile, was discovered by the router but failed Diskless_Setup.sh.

Message after fail [    33.396623]  random: nonblocking pool is initialized

Cheers.

The lanman setting should have been already in... could you verify, please.

Hi,

lanman had to be edited into /etc/samba/smb.conf

Cheers

Could you check if the smb template files under /usr/pluto/ contain the changes

Let me reply to myself. Looking through all scripts et al, I realized the smb.conf.tmpl is another of those NOT used goodies, Plutu came up with :(

I'll amend Network_Setup.sh to add the lanman settings.

I need to correct myself, and voice an apology to the Pluto guys. They DO check the smb.conf.template file.

Which brings us back to the initial question: Please check if you can find the client lanman auth setting in your smb.conf.template file.

Thanks.

Hi,

Checked the 12.04 July 19 29194 load and lanman is in that template.

Cheers.
