I'm getting parts together to build my test set and I was wondering:

What card I should use to capture HDMI output From my comcast box to my LMCE computer.

Can i set up an HDMI input and a 'normal'  (75 Ohm) cable TV card on the box.  The idea being to watch one program while the LMCE records  another.

Is there a card that will capture HDMI and display DVI at the same time?

Thanks.

There is no way to capture the output of HDMI/DVI.  You may want to consider talking to your cable provider and ask them for a tuner box with firewire out.

You can capture HDTV, but you would need to have a direct hookup, and the best for that is Hauppage TV cards. The previous poster is right if you want to use cable/Satellite.
