Ordered with i3 with 4GB. I'm looking forward to plug and play.

Update: Darn! Normally I get items from Newegg next day...now it's going to take a full week. I was really anxious to get this working this weekend.

Thank you for all of the help.

If the crappy weather does not delay shipment then I'll be able to play with my i3 NUC tomorrow night. If it works, I'll need another MD. Any reason to think that the next generation http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F3F381A/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00?t=slickdeals&tag=slickdeals&ascsubtag=fv2o8IL1EeO073J9paJ5ugAL7_SVyv3_0_0_0&ie=UTF8&psc=1 will not work just as well?

Jeebus! Intel are cranking these fuckers out!

It would be interesting to see how well this one runs, roughly same family of parts, so I don't see why not, most striking difference for me is an upgraded, faster GPU...

I also don't see myself using anything other than  the built in TV speakers for audio.

I'm no audiophile, but I ended up getting separate speakers/amp for my living room, as we probably listen to music/radio more than we watch tele, this means we can use the speakers without switching the TV on. And I have to say, even I appreciated the difference in sound quality. Very minor point, but perhaps something to consider.

Cheers,
Matt.

Agree with purps. Great having decent sound. Just hit a playlist and enjoy when you're not watching TV
