I've got it kind of running, but after I installed the NVidia Drivers, I had to reconfigure XServer and now when I try and open MCE using the Desktop Shortcut, the screen just flashes occasionally and nothing happens.

There was no or limited Card support after installing MCE as scrolling etc was woeful, which is why I used Envy to get some Drivers.

Should I install Drivers before running the MCE install so MCE can configure XServer itself??

Be gentle, I'm a bit of a Linux Noob! Been running Edgy for 3 weeks now, and rarely need to use XP (pardon my french!)

Look at my post in @Why only vesa@ drivers only thread.
Think it might get you running :-)

running /usr/pluto/bin/AVWizard_Run.sh should help get the X running again i belive, but look at the above mentioned thread, i\ve tried to state how i got my nvidia 6600gt card running, after hours of banging my head in the wall.

Best Regards,
