Newbie here.....  Cheesy I'm trying to get VDR setup on new 1004 install.
My tv card is a -medion 7134- with dvb-s & dvb-t tuners.

I followed the VDR wiki page instructions and get to the making of channels.conf but get:-

root@dcerouter:/home# sudo scan -o vdr -p -u /usr/share/dvb/dvb-t/uk-Durris > channels.conf

Instead of the standard scan utility use w_scan - http://wirbel.htpc-forum.de/w_scan/index_en.html

 Smiley Ok so I now have a channels.conf file sat in root/home .....many thanks 'posde'

Next problem is vdr wiki page says use Linuxmce admin page to import file but admin page says use konsole
How should this be done? Huh I'e what should I type!

make sure VDR is not running, and copy the channels.conf into /var/lib/vdr
