Problem with MD on 10.04 connexion lost
« on: July 30, 2012, 02:56:06 pm »
Hi,

I installed a fresh LinuxMCE 10.04. I have a core and a separate MD. The MD can be controlled using OnScreen Orbiter.
My media (videos) are located on a file server.

I can launch a video on the MD, it works fine. But sometime for any reason I lose the connexion between the Core and the MD. The ssh connexion on the MD is broken and i get:

sambahelper@moon57:~$
sambahelper@moon57:~$ Write failed: Broken pipe
devauda@dcerouter:/usr/pluto/diskless/57/var/log/pluto$

After some seconds (about 30 sec) i can access again the MD using SSH.

The videos on the MD is still played, but i'm not able any more to control it using the OnScreen Orbiter. When the video is finished, I have to reboot the MD to be able control it again.

Here are some logs:
59_LaunchOrbiter.sh.log
===============
As you can see after the connexion lost, the orbiter can't communicate with the MD (red):

I think the problem is related to the broken connexion, but i don't find why this connexion is broken. I can reproduce it easily...

I really hope somebody can help or give me a trip, i'm on this problem since 2 days...
All my orbiter have been fully regenerated, the core has been updated and rebooted.

Thanks for the support and hope you will understand my english.

Here are some updates:

1) I completely reinstalled the Media Director, but the problem remains.
2) I noticed that the connexion is lost, as explainend on my previous post, when i'm interacting using the OnScreen Orbiter.

I hope that somebody will be able to help me on this.
What could be the cause of this connexion lost? In which log file can i get info?

Thanks for the support
