Hi guys,

Is anyone interested in a UK hosted mirror of the snapshots and release ISOs hosted on linuxmce.iptp.org? I noticed they are currently hosted over in the Netherlands (from their IPs), while I was thinking how I can contribute to the community. I work for a large UK based web hosting company with access to free computing power and thought it would be nice if our UK based users could download new releases a little quicker.. How many peeps in the UK are avid lmce users?

Feel free to sync whatever is available on linuxmce.iptp.org - no need to ask for permission, just post the URL on the wiki.

Following on with this. I have setup a new mirror based in the UK. Files are manually synced with linuxmce.iptp.org at the moment but I'll build something in to check for new files daily. Please let me know if you have any issues.

Ok so implemented a a nice system of auto downloading any changes from the current repo without putting too much stress on it, so we should now have another up to date repo to download from Smiley Now the only thing I need to work out is how long we keep snapshot images for, cos my current implementation will periodically download new snapshots but will not remove old ones. any devs care to tell me what the snapshot release cycle is like and how long you typically keep them on repo?

Also Please could someone add this to the wiki as I have not got round to setting up creds for it yet.

Take your time, create your login, and three-four days after that just add the link to the wiki.

Hi I'm guessing the files are sync'd OK, I just tried a few of the .md5s but the sizes being reported are incorrect.
I assume its just an issue with how the php script is generating the listing.

Syncing is working well, but the file size on the md5s is wrong for some reason. Like you say it probably is the way it reading the size. Downloads of the files then have the correct file size tho. Cheers for spotting that ill look into it when I get some free time.

Another thing zsync doesn't seem to be working to your server.
