The PS3 run Linux and its published. Porting the media Director component should be possible. Some parts will be a lot of work. And integrating the PS3's internal media player will be a challenge- however it will bring integration of BluRay playback into LMCE. Probably won't be able to compy or pass the BluRay  content around the network. But an ideal MD for everything else. And the player in it may be much better than Xine (or a clone).
