I know that things is dated. I'm running 10.04 and like to get this card running in a small MD, which ist still AGP. When I set it up, I get a "failed to start x". I went to the xorg.conf and changed from nvidia to nv. This way I can at least go through the AV-Wizard, but I'm unable to use OpenGl with that.
How can I get this thing to run with OpenGL?

ok, I think I got it. There seems to be a problem between AVWizard and the 173 nvidia drivers. When using "nv" in the xorg.conf, then the AVWizard comes up and I can go through it (why it comes up twice however, I have no idea). Once the wizard is finished and the MD reboots, I get the message, that  Opengl cannot be loaded. Reverting "nv" to "nvidia" and restarting the md once more does the trick however.
