Just wanna know what people think about moving lmce up with Ubuntu every time.
Isnt this a pain? trying to get the same things working over and over again on a new version.
Sure linux beats the crap out of windows, but i think it might be nice to have a stable base like a embedded linux or something no?

Yes.

However given the media components, the advent of gpu acceleration really was huge... and other stuff.

It is no easy task, but is doable. We try to stick with LTS nowadays, which means updates every two years or so.
