I have saved one of my own dvd's to the hybrid core's drive.  When I play that movie back on a media director it plays fine for the first 3-5 minutes and then get very choppy.  The picture will pause for a few seconds at a time before jumping to the next image.  The core is a 2Ghz machine with a 100M connection feeding a 1.8G pentium M laptop also with a 100M connection.  The core only has 1 nic so it shows up as eth0 and eth0:0 under the OS.  Where should I start looking for to solve this problem.

Can you try to see if it plays on the Core ( this will work if the core is a hybrid). If it works there we will know that the video is actually correctly ripped.
